The Position

Regional Business Manager, Core Lab-Assays

The Opportunity:

  • Launching new assay products in the Asia-Pacific region (APAC) and exploring business opportunities.

  • Prioritising the assay portfolio and tracking progress.

  • Creating and rolling out strategic plans for the SWA assay portfolio.

  • Strategically and commercially leading discussions with different teams (affiliate, regional, and global).

As the Regional Business Manager, Core Lab-Assays, you are responsible for:

  • Report to: The Business Lead, Core Lab, Asia Pacific Regional, Lab and C-Suite Value Stream.

  • Support the business management team in developing and implementing portfolio strategies to achieve business goals.

  • Networking is a big part of the role. You will build relationships with key commercial leaders in the region, work with the clinical/medical, market access, digital, and other regional teams.

  • Supporting affiliates in carrying out their planned portfolio strategies.

  • Travel: Expect to travel 20–30% of the time due to the job nature.

Who You Are:

  • Experience in: the core lab (clinical chemistry, immunoassay), IVD business.

  • Skills: ability to execute strategies, track results, and work in a matrix organisation (i.e., open to exploring in a regional team).

  • A background in sales, marketing, product management, and business development is preferred.

  • Stay curious about industry developments, such as IVD tech trends and potential impact on healthcare.

What you need:

  • Business acumen and knowledge of financials.

  • Strong business analysis and strategic thinking skills.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

  • Work experience: At least 10 years' experience in a related field is preferred.

  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field is essential, and an advanced degree (Master's, MBA, medical degree, or PhD) would be advantageous.
