The Project Estimator/Account Manager is responsible for calculating the total costs associated with a project using their knowledge of pricing, labor requirements, and materials to provide accurate estimates to customers.

Must live in FL near Orland or St Petersburg*

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Study and analyze blueprints, schematics, and other project documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments, or construction workers to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.Prepare estimates for use in selecting vendors or subcontractors.Conduct special studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data or to effect cost reduction.Review material and labor requirements to decide whether it is more cost-effective to produce or purchase components.Prepare cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project.Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects, or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops.Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures.Establish and maintain tendering processes and conduct negotiations.Embodies the CoolSys CARES culture (Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, Empowerment, Safety).Performs other duties as assigned. JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education / Training

Education and/or experience equivalent to a high school diploma 5+ years of experience in Specialty-trades role, such as Construction Estimation, Jobsite Coordination, Project Management, etc.

Work Experience / Skills

Mechanical construction experience in a specialty trade (HVAC, Refrigeration, Energy Management/Controls) equivalent to a Journeyman (4+ years) field is a plus.Familiar with both basic and advanced mechanical system design practices.Able to manage multiple assignments, setting and balancing competing priorities with strong organizational skills and multi-tasking capability.Able to solve problems, apply good judgement and make decisions that have significant impact on the team's credibility, operations, and service.Able to effectively use typical business tools including E-Mail, Word, Excel, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, etc.Familiar with automated, on-screen takeoff, estimating software, or drafting software, (i.e. PlanSwift, Quickpen, QuoteSoft, FastEst, AutoCAD, Revit).Ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget, contributing to the overall success of the organization.Excellent verbal, nonverbal and written communication and presentation skills.Strong customer service skills, including an ability to proactively address customer issues and concerns and ability to forge strong working relationships with customers and coworkers.Join Us
